Cycling Wales

Hi all!

My name is Steve,I work for Sodexo at Stoke Mandeville Hospital  in Aylesbury as Patient Dining Manager.

I would like to tell you about a huge challenge which im going to take this year. The idea is to collect money for

STOP HUNGER

Rather then tell you how important is to be part of this project, I’m going to redirect you to SODEXO  Website where you can read more about what we have done over the last years to help people.

What about the trip?

The idea is to cycle across Wales on the Celtic Trail and Lôn Las Cymru, a total of

750 miles in 14 days

This will take place in June 12-26/06/2011. Starting point in Chepstow followed by Newport – Pontypridd – Neath – Swansea – Carmarthen – Fishguard and then Holyhead -Porthmadog-Tydfil/Abergavenny and finall the finishing line back in Chepstow.
During my trip I would like to visit as many Sodexo units as possible and hopefully their staff will help me to collect money for the “STOP HUNGER” charity. My wish is also to visit some of the most beautiful places in Wales like:

Pistyll Rhaeadr and Wrexham steeple, Snowdon’s mountain without its people, Overton yew trees, St Winefride wells, Llangollen bridge and Gresford bells.

The list of units that are keen on participating in my project will be updated shortly. I have listed below a few options of how you could become an important part of my idea:

  • You can become my “short distance cycling friend” and cycle with me in the area you currently live in
  • You can offer me some camping space in your garden
  • You can make a small donation on sponsor-me web site by clicking here
  • You can always stop me and offer me a nice cup of tea
  • You can cheer me up while i am battling through the wind and rain
  • You can guide me to my destination points if I get lost….

….any help is very welcome.Thanks

PS.Sorry but only this page is in English as this web site is dedicated to polish people,to encourage them to get on bike and see how fantastic this Island is.
